Thoughts on the Death of Liberalism, Part XVI

One more thought- it is interesting and unprecedented to see what’s happening on the ground floor of the conservative, white male demo. For the first time ever, the group is unifying across geography. So now, Southerners are finding staunch allies in traditional Midwesterners, and those in Appalachia, and with Mormons… and with so many others, all over.

This is shocking and new, and it might be the root cause of all the embarrassing problems, setbacks, and mishaps that the regime has had domestically since Obama’s inauguration. And I think that this fact may be the stake that kills liberalism dead forever.

Reading the mainstream media, you can tell that liberals are thinking, wrongly, that the Confederate flag is an issue that concerns only Southerners. This is very wrong- in these times, when everyone feels like they’re under attack, an attack on one is an attack on all.

So I’m seeing an outpouring of messages and posts now from people outside the South who want to support the flag and even display it. And I’m still thinking myself of joining them.

After all, if we’re all just “Evil White Men”, than I guess that the Confederate flag really is my culture, even if my ancestors supported the Union. I mean, we’re all in this together now, right?

The regime is creating a monster with these actions- a monster it cannot defeat, let alone control. In not paying attention, in refusing to compromise, in refusing to listen to others, it has dug its own grave and handed its enemies a loaded gun.

Think- the largest unified demographic on Earth, armed to the teeth, and extremely pissed off.

They’re nuts.

Thoughts on the Death of Liberalism, Part XV

The “logic”, such as it is, behind this push to ban the flag seems to be this:

Nazis are evil, and we (liberals) banned their flag, and everyone liked us for it. Even Germans! So let’s do it all over again and ban the Confederate flag too! People will like us.

Yes, I believe this is what they’re thinking. As impossibly simple and wrong as this is, I believe that these are their thoughts, in a nutshell.

The issue with this logic is that it doesn’t jibe, at all, with history. Germans didn’t want their flag banned. Of course they didn’t. Immediately after the German surrender, resistance to the US merely went underground.

They only reason that the German resistance to the US ended is because of mass bribery (the “Marshall Plan”). In short, we gave Germany an enormous amount of money- many billions of dollars (in 1950’s money, back when dollars meant actual gold) to hush up and accept US dominance quietly.

So the dominance was accepted, and it continued to be accepted long afterwards because of money. The Germans have now the most advanced and industrialized society in the history of the world. So yes, they’ve gone along with the plan. But primarily for reasons of self- interest and profit, of course.

There are no such reasons for conservative whites to go along with the regime’s plan to ban their symbols. There is in fact no reason whatsoever for them to “work with” any of this. So why should they? They won’t, of course. Self- interest trumps all. It’s human nature.

The problem, as I see it, is that liberals seem to have bought into their own hype. The really actually see themselves as being “above” such petty concerns. They’re not, and that’s not how others see them, but they’ve convinced themselves that those opinions don’t matter. Or their heads are so far up their asses that they don’t even realize how many people truly disagree with them.

Back to what I was saying earlier- the harsh truth is that money is also the reason that Southerners embraced the North. They stopped their resistance for the benefits of free economic development, and little else. For centuries, they got to bask in the glow of being in the richest nation in history. So of course they stopped resistance! Who wouldn’t in those circumstances?

So these things were more of an even exchange. Germany repudiated its past and got what it wanted, the South did the same got what it (really) wanted, and the rest was history.

But this new push to ban the Confederate flag… is no exchange. It’s pure bullying. It’s wrong, and it must and will inevitably fail.

Such is the way.

Thoughts on the Death of Liberalism, Part XIV

They’ve lost contact with reality. They’re acting out fantasies.

In no way are any of these attempts to ban the Confederate flag going to destroy any lingering pro-Confederate feelings, anywhere. The Confederate flag isn’t a potent symbol today, 150 years after the Civil War, because of sales on eBay or Amazon. Or because of games in the Apple App Store. Or because of some old statues.

Those statues exist not because the Confederacy is politically relevant today, but in response to the pro-Confederate feelings that existed when they were made, and that will still exist today, whether those statues are here or not.

All of these attempts to “ban” the Confederate flag, to push it off the stage of history, can’t possibly work, and anyone who really tries to think about this would understand it.

Don’t believe me? Try ordering a Confederate flag now. You can’t. They’re on backorder everywhere. And the conservative net is filled with people, Non-Southerners mostly, who are complaining that they can’t find a flag of their own in stock, anywhere, now that they want one themselves.

This whole Confederate flag controversy reminds me of how liberals’ “gun control” pushes always horribly backfire. They. Just. Don’t. Get it.

The flag isn’t going away, and their attempts to ignore the concerns of others and force the issue have only enshrined it as a permanent symbol of outlaw badassery. This is going to blow up badly in their faces (if it already hasn’t).

They’re nuts.

They’re still nuts.

I held off on penning a blog post for a few days, in the thought that maybe, somehow, I was just overreacting and that there was some hidden logic to all of this that might become apparent with some distance.

But… nope. Still nuts.

What they’re doing just doesn’t make sense. It’s the politics of emotion, paranoia, and wishful thinking.

It’s baffling and sad to see liberals support the regime’s attempts to ban the Confederate flag and everything associated with it. I remember when liberals once stood for high ideals- things like freedom of speech and freedom of association. You know, the fundamental things that make us American. The things that make us human.

Much of liberals’ moral standing when I was growing up came from this- the fact that they would always stand up for someone’s right to express themselves, even when that expression ran counter to what they themselves believed. It gave them credence. It gave them power. It gave them relevance.

No more.

For the past seven years I’ve seen liberals dump every good idea they’ve ever had to offer, every moral victory they’ve ever claimed, every pretense of fairness, well, everything good, really, into the garbage, to defend Obama. They’ve sacrificed their philosophy, every ounce of goodwill they’ve built up with others over the life of their movement, and their entire three centuries of historical relevance, in an effort to make this man look good.

It’s sad, IMHO. It really is.

They’ve “won” in the sense that they’ve bullied their way into some things that they’ve always wanted. But in doing so, they’ve lost others’ respect. Others, especially conservatives, once viewed them as worthy, intelligent, and necessary adversaries. They were once our competitors in the fight to make this nation better and more free. Now, they’re only seen as hypocrites and tyrants. They’re universally considered by outsiders now to be obstacles to human progress. They’re now seen as enemies, and for good reason.

Well, that’s their choice. They can do what they want with their legacy.

It’s still sad.

They’re nuts.

For the umpteenth time, they’re nuts.

The more I look at the whole “Confederate flag” controversy, the more wrong it looks.

Look- the regime, if it wants any chance of surviving over the long term, must have the support of its largest demographic. Obviously. You cannot govern successfully, if at all, without this crucial component.

That being the case, it boggles the mind that it’s currently engaged in an apparent fight to the death with said demographic. It’s insanity. In no way is any of this logical or reasonable on any level.

The regime is going to, at some point, be forced to backtrack on all of this, probably after some kind of disaster of some sort. It has to, logically. This WILL be the case at some point. So I don’t get why it is so determined to make its future harder for itself.

The regime has lost control of itself and its senses.

It’s like it’s trying to govern based on emotion- like its pride has been hurt in some way, say by Putin, so they’re lashing out at what they perceive to be a weaker party, my demographic, to make themselves feel better. In short, they’re being bullies.

This is sick and wrong. You cannot govern like this and expect people to follow you.

What they’re doing is insane, and I don’t say that lightly. This could easily be the domestic Waterloo of the liberal government.

Already, sales of Confederate merchandise are soaring. Even I, a proud Midwesterner, am going to buy some, because 1) I want to make a point, 2) Confederate stuff is now outlaw and thus “cool”, and 3) I want to have a badass story to tell my Grandkids one day. Sooooo I’ll definitely be hunting down some choice gear this week.

And I say that as someone who has never, up until this point, even considered buying Confederate anything.

They’re nuts.

One more point- they’re also desperate. As an outsider, it looks to me like they’re also trying to relive the past in some kind of sick way. As I said in my last post, the Civil War was over 150 years ago! It’s been decided! But the regime has had its pride hurt so badly lately that it’s like its trying to “re-win” the Civil War to give itself an ego boost.

But this is nuts. There are no guarantees in things like this. Re-opening the wounds of the Civil War may uncover things that the government isn’t prepared for.

And there is no guarantee that, if in trying to “re-live” their successful wars of the past, that this time around, they’ll win them again.

Who knows? Maybe this is the start of Civil War II, and things will turn out differently this time.

They’re nuts.

Yikes!!!!

Excuse my bluntness, but WTF is going on?

Today we saw a… bizarre, grotesque, and incomprehensible attack by the establishment against things that no sane person would find threatening.

It seems that the Confederate flag and all of it’s associated symbols are being targeted for oblivion by the regime. I mean, even eBay and Amazon are getting in on the action, and banning all products, and I mean ALL products, that bear Confederate symbols.

That’s a lot of stuff!

This is… stupid.

They have learned nothing. They’ve learned nothing from American history, from recent history, and from… anything, really.

They’re escalating. Against all logic, against all reason and common sense, they’re escalating. It boggles the mind.

I’m not sure if the Charleston shooting was a false flag. I don’t think it matters, really. What matters is what I talked about in my previous posts on this subject- the statistics. The statistics that say that a third of Americans believe that Obama hates America. The statistics that say that over a quarter of Americans (me included) believe that Obama is not an American citizen. The statistics that say that only 7% of Americans have respect for Congress.

This is what really scares the government, not the Charleston thing, whatever it was.

The regime is not thinking. In what way are these actions going to convince the demographic that really hates the government, that really hates Obama, to like these things? In what way are these actions going to bring the largest and thus most important demographic, conservative white men, back “into the fold”?

They’re not. Obviously, these actions will only alienate them further. It’s insanity.

The government has lost control. They’re lost control in foreign arenas, against Russia and other powers, and now it’s looking like they’ve lost control here at home, too.

With this action, they seem to be admitting to everyone that they’ve given up trying to make Americans like Obama by choice, so they’re going to try a last ditch attempt and force the issue at gunpoint, social consequences be damned.

It’s sad. It’s desperate. It’s nuts.

This action doesn’t look like the action of an establishment that is confident in itself and it’s message. It looks panicked and strange. I mean, the Civil War has been over for 150 years. 150 years! And just NOW they ban this stuff? Why? What has changed suddenly, so long after the fact?

What’s changed is that now they’re scared, obviously. And they’re so afraid that they’re lashing out, even at imaginary enemies. Seriously, guys, the eBay sellers that sell panties with Confederate flags on them are not a threat to anyone. WTF are you doing?

This does not inspire confidence. It does not inspire trust or loyalty. It looks tyrannical and oppressive, and it looks again like a racial double standard. Remember the black sniper that picked off white motorists? He was a black supremacist. Did they ban the Nation of Islam after that? No. What about the immigrant mass murderer at Virginia Tech, who shot up his white classmates after hearing lesson after lesson of liberal/globalist white hating garbage? Did the government ban anything, then? No, of course not. Those classes at VT are still there.

So a white kid shoots a bunch of blacks- a rarity in mass murder, to say the least- and NOW the regime lashes out? And so comprehensively? WTF! This isn’t how you lead! This isn’t how you govern! They’ve lost their minds.

And it isn’t going to work, should the public not want it to. Conservative, American white men, being by far the biggest racially, linguistically, religiously, politically, and culturally unified demographic in America, if not the world, can simply bypass these restrictions themselves easily, at any point, if they wish.

It’s nuts.

This action is wrong. It is very very wrong.

In the end, this will blow up badly in the regime’s face. It won’t be tomorrow, maybe, but it will be someday. This will be recorded by history as reason #438 in the last 7 years that liberalism has shown the world that it is not fit to rule any longer, if it was in fact ever fit to rule at all.
